Dr. Joe McCord

Dr. Joe McCord is recognized as one of the foremost authorities on the body’s antioxidant defense system. Dr. McCord has outstanding credentials, and he is featured in Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s book, “Chasing Life. Dr. McCord is credited with co-discovering the enzyme Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) in 1969, which marked the beginning of the study of antioxidants and the impact on the human body. Thanks to his groundbreaking work, Dr. McCord is highly regarded in the field and has helped shape the direction of antioxidant research over the years. Dr. McCord currently serves as Professor of Medicine, Biochemistry, and Microbiology at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center (UCDHSC). He is also the Honorary President of the International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition and Health (ISANH).

David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, ABIHM

David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, ABIHM is a Board-Certified Neurologist and Fellow of the American College of Nutrition who received his M.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine where he was awarded the Leonard G. Rowntree Research Award. After completing residency training in Neurology, also at the University of Miami, Dr. Perlmutter entered private practice in Naples, Florida.

Neurologist Dr. Perlmutter has contributed extensively to the world of medical literature with publications appearing in such journals as The Journal of Neurosurgery, The Southern Medical Journal, Journal of Applied Nutrition, and Archives of Neurology. He is the author of the bestselling book, The Better Brain Book and Raise a Smarter Child By Kindergarten and is recognized internationally as a leader in the field of nutritional influences in neurological disorders. He has lectured at symposia sponsored by such respected institutions as the University of Arizona, the University of Miami, Columbia University, and Harvard University. Neurologist Dr. Perlmutter has been interviewed on many nationally syndicated radio and television programs including 20/20, Larry King Live, CNN, Fox News, Fox and Friends, The Today Show, Oprah, Oprah and Friends, Oprah Radio with Dr. Oz, and The CBS Early Show. He was awarded the 2002 Linus Pauling Award for his pioneering work in innovative approaches to neurological disorders and is the recipient of the 2006 National Nutritional Foods Association Clinician of the Year Award.

Brooks M. Hybertson, MBA, Ph.D.

Brooks M. Hybertson, MBA, PhD is Vice President of Research at Aerophase, Inc. and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Hybertson received a BA in Chemistry from St. Olaf College, a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from University of Colorado, and an MBA from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business. He completed Postdoctoral Training at Webb-Waring Institute for Biomedical Research, and was a recipient of the Parker B. Francis Fellowship in Pulmonary Research and of the Society for Free Radical Biology and Medicine Young Investigator award for his research in oxidative stress. Dr. Hybertson has an extensive background in scientific research and development, and has been the principal investigator on a variety of research projects pertaining to nutrition, oxidant/antioxidant balance, inflammation, cancer, materials science, and drug delivery, with support from the National Institutes of Health, the American Lung Association, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the Department of Energy. In addition, he has been the author or coauthor on over 50 scientific publications and has served as a reviewer for several science journals, for the NIH, and for other granting agencies. He has extensive experience in laboratory research, product development, and customer support.
