Dr. Joe McCord, one of the foremost authorities on the body's antioxidant defense system, co-discovered the enzyme Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) in 1969.

A clinical study, published in the peer-reviewed, scientific journal, (Free Radical Biology & Medicine), has shown Protandim® reduces oxidative stress as measured by reduced blood levels of lipid peroxides -- oxidized fat molecules. The study also demonstrated that Protandim® increases the body's production of SOD and Catalase (CAT).
